Low female libido and the various causes

Low female libido, or low sexual desire, is a common condition which many women live with worldwide. Low libido can be caused by an array of different factors, most of which are physical and/or psychological. Female low libido decreases a woman’s desire for sex and interferes with her ability to respond during sexual intercourse. This condition affects women on a overwhelmingly wide scale. Low Female libido can cause much pressure, frustration, stress, and anguish in marriages and relationships. However, many women who suffer from this condition are too ashamed or embarrassed to seek help. Yet, once a doctor has found the most likely cause or causes of female low libido in a patient, often the woman can be treated to solve the problem. Therefore, it is very beneficial for women to educate themselves and to know about the various causes and treatments for low sexual desire or low libido. Low female libido can be the result of many different causes. Emotional and psychological factors can commonly inhibit a woman’s sexual response and desire. This can include sexual abuse. If a woman is confused about her sexual orientation, it may decrease her sex drive. Low female libido can be caused by stress, low self esteem, depression, and conflicts in her relationships. Many physical factors can also affect a woman’s libido such as an imbalance of hormones, certain medical conditions, medications, weight problems, menopause, and sleep disorders, just to name a few. Certain diseases can also lead to low sexual desire. Most commonly, these diseases include heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis. Certain medications lead to low libido in women such as antidepressants and painkillers, which can be adjusted for each individual to help the problem. Illegal drugs have a profound affect on women’s sexual desire. These can include cocaine, marijuana, heroine, and methamphetamine. Alcohol abuse interferes with a woman’s sexual response and ability to reach orgasm. Luckily most of these problems can be successfully treated and corrected with the proper diagnosis and treatment plan with libido enhancers or female libido pills. The more women speak up about their problems and concerns regarding their sex life, the closer the medical and holistic communities will be to finding and providing the best treatments for women who suffer from low libido.
